Never ran a 5K on Thanksgiving? It's your year to give it a try! Bonus, it makes room for more mashed potatoes later.

The Fitness Affinity Group has secured a YPK team for the 2023 Regal Turkey Trot happening in Knoxville! Walk, run, jog or stroll your way through this year's local Turkey Trot. There are no rules on how fast you have to go, this race is one of Knoxville's biggest and it can be walked or ran at your most comfortable pace. 5Ks can seem intimidating but they are much more fun when you have friends to do it with you plus, there is no pressure to "win". You're already winning just by showing up!

Join YPK Outdoor Affinity Group for a 1-hour horse back ride through Cades Cove!

Our trip will be with Cades Cove Riding Stables one of only two stables operating inside the Smoky Mountain National Park boundaries. The ride will include a guide and helmet. Since reservations can't be made in advance, Sam will arrive when the stables open to register and purchase tickets on behalf of all attendees. Please text Sam at 304-290-0030 ASAP if you are no longer able to attend so I can open your spot to someone else.

For those with extra time, there will be an optional bring your own lunch after the ride. We'll meet at the Cades Cove Picnic area, across the street from the stables.

Join the YPK Outdoor Affinity Group for whitewater rafting on the Upper Little Pigeon River in Hardford, TN. We will have highly trained Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC) guides navigate us through a quick five miles of splashing wave trains and bouncy hydraulics.

Our tour will consist of nearly-continuous Class II-III+ rapids like Lost Guide and Accelerator and views into Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This trip is great for experienced and first time rafters!

Cost for a Member ticket is $55 and Member + Non-meber Guest combo ticket is $120

Water will be provided by YPK. Please be prepared to sign a waiver and dress in clothes that can get wet, and wear shoes that will stay securely on your feet, with a back heel straps (flip flops are not recommended).

Don’t forget dry clothes, a towel, and shoes for after your trip. Booties and water shoes are available for purchase. There are changing rooms and showers available.
