Meet the Treasurer and Secretary of Young Professionals of Knoxville!
YPK recently teamed up with Knox.biz to provide Knoxville’s young professionals with tips and tricks to creating a LinkedIn account that will stop hiring managers in their tracks. Guest speaker Robert Loggins, who has climbed to his current role as Corporate Human Resources Manager of Bush Brothers & Company, clued attendees in on his methods for career success- beginning with LinkedIn.
With Valentine’s Day just a few days away, most of us are on the hunt for chocolates, roses and the perfect date to share the two for $50 deal with at Babalu Tapas and Tacos. Being a young professional, you might also be on the hunt for the perfect job opportunity in Knoxville.
YPK is a driving force in connecting young professionals with community leaders and organizations in Knoxville. We hear “networking is key” all of the time and YPK has been amazing at developing events and programs that provide young professionals the opportunity to do just that.
YPK allows young professionals an opportunity to build their networks, improve their leadership skills, and give back to the community. YPK also introduces their members to businesses and venues around the city that they may not have been familiar with. I think that being active in the community, both socially and through servitude, helps young professionals become more invested in the place we live and work.
