CONNECT & ENGAGE
Events are the heart of YPK. They are the primary way we connect with, develop, and serve each other and our local Knoxville community. In addition to four quarterly General Membership Meetings, YPK holds a number of professional development, social and community outreach events throughout the year. While most events are open to everyone, certain events are open to members only.

UPCOMING EVENTS
YPK is hosting our June Social from 5:30–7:30 PM (and probably later), and you’re invited! Swing by after work for a drink, make new connections, network with young professionals around Knoxville, and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere at Radius.
Join the Marketing & Communications Committees at Fred's Around the Corner! We will review upcoming organization events and plan the newsletter, blog, and social media content for July.
This is a great opportunity to connect with other young professionals, share ideas, and discuss practical ways to support our members’ growth. We’ll explore new topics, exchange insights on skill-building, and brainstorm programming that helps individuals develop professionally in meaningful ways.
A practical guide for navigating the Knoxville housing market—whether you're buying your first home or preparing to sell. Topics include essential steps for first-time homebuyers, what to expect when listing your home, key contacts you'll need throughout the process (lenders, agents, inspectors, and more), and the long-term financial benefits of homeownership.
Beat the heat and unwind with friends at Augusta Quarry! Paddle board, float the afternoon away, swim, or just post up at the dock and soak in the summer vibes. Rentals are available — just bring yourself (and some sunscreen). Afterwards, join us at Kern's for lunch to wrap up the day!
Join Young Professionals of Knoxville for an enchanting evening of connection, conversation, and garden charm at our annual Summer Soirée! On Friday, July 24, step into a beautiful garden party atmosphere where you’ll enjoy a thoughtfully curated charcuterie table, refreshing summer libations, and cool summer tunes that sets the perfect backdrop for mingling with fellow young professionals.
Join YPK members to discuss the summer book selection — Betty by Tiffany McDaniel! There’s nothing you need to prepare or bring, just be ready to discuss the book! And you don’t have to have finished the book to join, but please know that we won’t avoid spoilers. We’ll select the August book at this book club, so come with a suggestion for our next read. The Hive Bookshop is graciously hosting us after hours at their shop, so you'll have a chance to browse and shop!
You'll be a direct part of helping us form connections with other businesses in the area that could benefit from YPK, and vice versa. We also will explore how YPK creates value for its members through the onboarding, engagement, and renewals processes, as well as planning high‑quality events that reflect the diverse interests of our membership.
