KNOXVILLE, TN — Last night local Knoxville young professionals gathered at the Knoxville Botanical Garden Dogwood Center for our signature recruitment event, YPK 101. The evening kicked off with socializing and networking, giving attendees an opportunity to meet new people, connect with the YPK board of directors, and win raffle prizes from local businesses like Knox Brew Hub, Frog Juice Kombucha, Remedy Coffee, and Blue Ridge Yoga.
Members of the Board spoke to the audience about what Young Professionals of Knoxville does as an organization, our history and values, and the benefits of joining YPK. We also got a chance to hear from a few members about why they joined Young Professionals of Knoxville and how it has impacted them.
“Organizations like YPK offer great ways to connect to other people in your age group who are going through similar life experiences, as well as get to know people from many industries,” shared Cate Bolden, VP Engagement.

YPK 101 is designed as an introduction to Young Professionals of Knoxville. Hosted twice per year (spring and fall), it’s a great opportunity for those who are new to YPK or haven’t joined yet to learn more about who we are, what we do, and how we live out our tenets to Connect, Develop, and Serve Our Knoxville. This year more than two-thirds of attendees were non-members - we can’t wait for them to become familiar faces at YPK this year!
