Young Professionals of Knoxville to host inaugural Giving Brunch benefiting local nonprofits

Young Professionals of Knoxville (YPK) will host its inaugural Giving Brunch, a ticketed event sponsored by Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial and benefiting Young-Williams Animal Center and The Change Center. Guests will enjoy an exclusive menu at Oliver Royale on Saturday, June 25, at 1 p.m.

East Tennessee young professionals and advocates of the organizations are invited. Tickets start at $60, and for a $70 donation, attendees will be recognized as part of the YPK Leadership Circle. Proceeds support Young-Williams Animal Center’s lifesaving efforts and The Change Center’s mission to uplift area youth.

Tyler Janow, president of YPK, said, “Our organization has grown substantially over the last 18 months, enabling us to enhance our programming and quality of events. This positive shift prompted an examination of what distinguishes our membership from other young professionals in the area. A significant part of that identity is community service through philanthropy.”

The mission of YPK is “Connect. Develop. Serve.” The first Giving Brunch was born out of members’ desire to directly support community organizations that make Knoxville a better place to live and work. Guests will contribute to worthy causes while connecting with established and emerging leaders in the area.

“Young Professionals of Knoxville is proud of the multiaxial diversity of our members and the passion we all have for our mission,” Janow said. “We hope to continue offering ample opportunities to engage with and support these and other vital community resources.”
